Helen Frankenthaler Foundation Announces 2025 Frankenthaler Climate Initiative Grantees and commits to a five-year extension of its program

The Valerie J. Maynard Foundation is honored to have been selected to receive an award through the Frankenthaler Climate Initiative, a grantmaking program established by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation in collaboration with Environment & Culture Partners and RMI to catalyze climate action in the visual arts.

The Valerie J. Maynard Foundation is honored to have been selected to receive an award through the Frankenthaler Climate Initiative, a grantmaking program established by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation in collaboration with Environment & Culture Partners and RMI to catalyze climate action in the visual arts. 

Funds will be used towards implementing  our Thriving Futures Initiative, a six (6) month project to install an environmentally conscious, energy efficient, climate control system for the preservation and display of 2500 visual art pieces inside the historic residence and headquarters of  The Valerie J. Maynard Foundation. This project will help us reduce our organization’s dependence on fossil fuels, lower our carbon footprint, and decrease energy usage by incorporating solar energy, High efficiency HVAC, and weatherization into our headquarters building project.
